About Jobing.com: Press RoomJobing.com Recognized by Governor Napolitano and Arizona Department of Transportation at Diamondbacks
Media Inquiries Company Honored for Keeping Arizona Highways Clean PHOENIX, AZ - July 6, 2006 - Jobing.com, a leading Phoenix provider of locally-focused job search and recruiting services designed to connect local employers and job seekers, announced today that it has been recognized for its outstanding community service through its participation in Arizona's Adopt-A-Highway (AAH) program. A recent Arizona Diamondbacks game was the setting for the first-time recognition of outstanding volunteers and corporate sponsors that have pitched in to keep Arizona's highways clean. On the field, in a special pre-game ceremony, Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin, along with Gail Lewis, representing Governor Napolitano, and Victor Mendez, Director of the Arizona Department of Transportation, presented Jobing.com with a certificate for its service of sponsoring at least 24 different highway sites. Receiving recognition were Jobing.com senior vice president Brian Mohr, along with market managers, Matthew Moses and David Dickens. After the presentation, the group took their seats in the Batter's Box suite, where they were unexpectedly greeted by Governor Napolitano herself, who happened to be attending the game. Several other groups from all across Arizona were also honored and thanked for their volunteer efforts and commitment to keeping the state clean. The game was also a great opportunity to promote visibility of AAH. The program's public service announcement was played on the stadium's big screen. In addition, AAH and Arizona Clean & Beautiful representatives worked in Chase Field's Community Corner booth handing out litterbags and Pitch In, Pitch Out flyers. "The Jobing.com team proudly accepts this honor from Governor Napolitano and the Arizona Department of Transportation," said Aaron Matos, founder and chief executive officer, Jobing.com. "Our commitment to give back to the local communities in which we live and work is one of our founding principles. The Adopt-A-Highway program is an ideal vehicle through which we accomplish this goal. We look forward to continuing our active involvement with AAH throughout the coming years." About Jobing.com |
