Job: Associate Software Engineer (.NET) - Contingent

We are hiring associate level .NET software engineers to work on a .NET foundational tools and services team. The Church has a growing portfolio of .NET projects that support the administration and ecclesiastical functions of the church. This position is an investment the organization is making to increase the efficiency of the organization and overall quality of the products produced by creating and evangelizing standard components, reusable practices and guidance specific to creating .NET applications at the LDS Church. This position is contingent. It is anticipated to last 6 -12 months with the possibility of conversion or renewal up to 2 years.

This position will utilize the following technologies (but not limited to):

* C#
* .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
* Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
* Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
* Entity Framework
* TFS

Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently temple worthy.

Strong technical aptitude

Exposure to a range of current Microsoft technologies

Experience developing frameworks or similar API work preferred.

Should have at least some hands-on exposure to the technologies listed, 0 - 3 years of relevant experience required

BS/MS/PhD in CS or equivalent.

C# skills and object oriented design experience.

Experience in Java web application development a plus.

Experience in database design and SQL.

Knowledge of session management, object relational mapping, and agile development methodologies desired.
