Job: Cardiovascular Coding Specialist - Intermountain Medical Center

The primary purpose of this position is to provide coding, education and auditing support to Cardiovascular (CV) and Afflicated Service physicians, midlevels, clinics, imaging departments. Proactively furthers the quality, accuracy, and compliance in coding and reimbursement in CV Services.

Requires knowledge and understanding of CPT-4 and ICD-9 diagnosis coding, Medicare regulations, compliance issues, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. A Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Coder-Hospital (CPC-H), Radiology Coding Certification (RCC) certification is required with a minimum of 1 year of coding experience. Must be able to comprehend and present vast amounts of information for dynamic coding regulations and changes. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word required. Cardiovascular or Radiology procedural and E/M coding knowledge preferred. Proficiency in AS400, IDX and Help2 and coding knowledge based programs preferred.
