Jobing Description
Location: UT-West Valley City
Facility: Information Technology This position is responsible for coordination and performance of analysis, design, development, and some QA testing, validation and implementation of documentation screens used by clinicians performing bedside patient care. The candidate for this position enjoys interacting with clinicians and programmers, and enjoys designing data entry screens and reports used by clinical administrators and bedside clinicians. The candidate understands, or is willing to learn and apply the philosophy, tools and techniques of the systems development life cycle to assigned projects. The candidate also understands the use of business/clinical computer applications, which assist in the management and processing of clinical information and delivery of health care services. Clinicians with a strong technical propensity but no technical experience are encouraged to apply. The candidate performs independently to document their project and task status, and manages barriers with minimal assistance. Participates as a team member and interacts easily with others. Position is located at Lake Park, though travel to other Intermountain Healthcare facilities may be required. Skills / Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: The position has the opportunity to be assigned at one of four levels within a professional track (associate, staff, senior, consultant). The entry level and salary is determined by educational background and work experience. Min qualifications for associate entry level require an A.D in nursing or other related health care profession. Other essential minimum qualifications include: Clinical professional licensure, or eligibility for clinical professional licensure in the State of Utah > 2 years healthcare experience Knowledge of medical vocabulary Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written) Successful candidates must be highly motivated, self-directed and demonstrate mutual respect, diplomacy, tact, and a positive approach to problem solving. Organizational skills and confidentiality are a must. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of information technology and terminology Knowledge of PC applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, web applications, drawing tools and programming terms Important Notes
