The Advance Practice Nurse (APRN, NP) / Physician Assistant is a professional healthcare provider who: works to maintain and promote health, and prevent disease, establishes positive and productive patient relationships, demonstrates high professional standards, and supports appropriate financial outcomes through sound business practices.

Masters in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.



Current Utah Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant License with Prescriptive Practice is required.



Previous work experience in a clinic setting is preferred.



Nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner (Specialty focus consistent with scope addendum approved by Physician Division Recruitment and Credentialing Committee).



Current Utah Controlled Substance License II through V5. Current Federal DEA Certificate II through V6.



Current Basic Life Support Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification may be recommended for designated practice settings consistent with PDR&CC approved scope addendum).



Current DOPL Consultation / Referral Plan endorsed by consulting physician.



Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and decision making skills.
