Job: Plant Mechanic - Primary Children%27s

Location: UT-Salt Lake City
Facility: Primary Children%27s Med

The position is responsible for providing safe power, water, medical air and vacuum to the building. Will maintain (clean and repair) all equipment assigned to the plant - pumps, motors, chillers, high-pressure boilers, cogeneration engines, etc. Will provide assistance to the floors after hours, weekends and holidays. Plant Mechanics are responsible to make decisions supported by good judgment and be able to function in a team environment and exhibit good customer service skills This position involves working long hours in isolation at times and therefore requires a high level of independence and problem solving skills. Plant Mechanics must be prepared to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted

Minimum Qualifications:


Must have high school diploma or GED


Must have a working knowledge of a power plant's functions and operations


Prefer 5 years experience working in a boiler plant


Must have Salt Lake City Unlimited Boiler Operator license


Employment offer will be contingent on obtaining license prior to start date

Prefer 2 years of work experience in any of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, plumbing.
