Part/Full Time: Full time position - incumbent must have a flexible schedule, such as working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of this position.

Job Characteristics
The Area Manager will supervise incumbent. SOVEREIGN LANDS COORDINATOR will assist the Area Manager in administering the National Fire Plan and Sovereign Lands Programs in the Bear River Area. Generally a 50% mix of each program.

Sovereign Lands Program for the Bear River Area:

Incumbent is responsible for implementing all phases of this program which may include receiving and processing applications, resolving trespass issues, dealing with invasive and noxious weeds, boundary settlements, manage recreation issues etc.

Represent the state at inter-agency land management meeting related to sovereign lands.

National Fire Plan:

Incumbent will be responsible for guidance, oversight, planning and execution of all phases of this program.

Monitor past NFP practices, identify maintenance needs and work with communities wishing to participate in the NFP Program

Assist the landowners with successful implementation of the practices by providing technical assistance and oversight as needed.

Carry out documentation, cost tracking and monitoring of the program.
