Job: Medical Technologist/MLT - Riverton Hospital - 7 on 7 off

Intermountain Healthcare's new Riverton Hospital is located in the heart of the growing southwest Salt Lake Valley, serving the communities of South Jordan, Riverton, Herriman, and Bluffdale. Scheduled to open this fall, Riverton Hospital will be a full-service community hospital dedicated to high quality patient care in a welcoming and healing environment.

The 63-acre campus includes a four-story hospital operated by Intermountain Healthcare, a three-story Primary Children's Medical Center outpatient facility and a four-story physician office building. The Intermountain Southridge Clinic has been operating in temporary facilities on the site since 2005. The hospital will open with 48 beds with room to grow to 88, and the campus as a whole will employ an estimated 700 people.

The Registered Medical Technologist is accountable for performing a variety of qualitative and quantitative laboratory tests, both manual and automated, of varying complexity to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of pathological disease and to provide blood and blood components. Will be a generalist working in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion services.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology culminating in a national certification such as MT, (ASCP, AMT), CLT (HEW), RMT (ISCLT) or CLS (NCA). Must be registry eligible. Candidates with previous experience preferred. Will also consider registered Medical Lab Technicians (MLT).
