Job: Registered Nurse - Neuro/Medical ICU - Intermountain Medical Center

The Neuroscience Critical Care Unit is a 12-bed intensive care unit, located at Intermountain Medical Center, in Murray Utah.


This unit will be using an interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care for patients. The patient population will include; head injury, acute stroke, craniotomy, shunts, aneurysm repair, tumor removal, burr holes for evacuation of sub-dural or epi-dural hematoma, seizure, mengitis/neuro caused encephalomyelitis, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis/Guillain-Barre.

This position is accountable for the provision of safe, efficient and therapeutically effective care on the med/surg ICU unit. Utilizing the nursing process, care is delivered in compliance with hospital policies and procedures, legal and regulatory standards.

Current State of Utah RN license or license eligible.
BLS required

ACLS certification required (or within 6 months of hire).
Minimum 1 year RN - ICU experience highly preferred

Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
Requires two (2) years previous specialty experience or successful completion of a training program within six (6) months of hire.
Ability to transfer and position patients independently and safely.
Shifts are rotating 12's with rotating weekends.
