Location: UT-Park City
Facility: Park City Medical Cntr This position is a clinical care provider who routinely performs respiratory care to adult, geriatric and newborn patients on clinical units and when skill level has been documented provides care in the ICU. This position participates in one of the following quality improvement activities: policy/procedure, quality assurance, regulatory, education, staffing/scheduling, and bronchodilator team. Assists with clinical based research projects, protocol development and testing. As someone who has the responsibility for the assessment, treatment, or care of patients, this employee demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide are appropriate to the following age groups: Neonate, Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, and Geriatric. The Park City Medical Center will be a convenient resource for local healthcare needs and for stabilizing patients who require transport to Salt Lake City for more critical care. The new Park City Medical Center will be open for patient care this September and will offer a wide-range of services, including: * 24-hour Emergency Care * Six state-of-the-art Operating Rooms * Family & Internal Medicine * Orthopedic & General Surgery * Cardiac Care * Pediatrics * Obstetrics & Gynecology * Radiology/Imaging The Park City Medical Center is conveniently located at Quinn's Junction in Park City, just off Highway 40. Be part of a dynamic healthcare culture in a world-renowned resort town! This position is scheduled to start on August 18, 2009. Park City Medical Center is scheduled to open in September 2009. Skills / Requirements
Must have a current license or license eligible as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Utah. Must be registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Two years experience as a Respiratory Therapist required. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal relations skills. Current CPR/BLS - Health Care Provider certification required. PPD Placement/Reading Certification required within 6 months of hire. Pulmonary Function Technician Certification preferred. Certified to collect Arterial Blood Specimens preferred. Respiratory Therapist experience in an OB and Emergency Department (ED) setting preferred. Important Notes
