Part Time Positions of 20+ hours/week without benefits are available. Full Time Positions of 40 hours/week with benefits are also available. Flexible schedules allowed within State, Guard, and program policies.

Job Characteristics:
This job is unique to the Utah National Guard and is located at the Joint Language Training Center at Camp Williams.

SPANISH LANGUAGE SUPPORT SPECIALISTS assigned to the job typically are required to listen to various foreign language sources in order to provide precise word processing transcriptions in the foreign language itself. The transcriptions are translated into English while complying with all legal requirements and reflecting cultural and situational context, sounds, noises, and other influences.

SPANISH LANGUAGE SUPPORT SPECIALISTS utilize computer equipment and associated software to receive work assignments and to process the work product. The work product must meet stringent requirements for legal, law enforcement, and security sensitive applications. This is a working level job.

Employment is subject to an extensive background checks called an LEA Sensitive security clearance which determines an individual's qualification to work with security sensitive information.

Must also pass the Joint Language Training Center Spanish Translation Test with a score of 80% or better.

Positions are also subject to random drug testing based on contractual agreement.
