The Cardiovascular Unit (CVU 3) is a 28 bed Acute/Intermediate Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit at Intermountain Medical Center. It offers an environment for learning and professional growth. On CVU 3 you will find a vast variety of cardiovascular patients and modalities, such as our LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) patients. Our staff is committed to providing excellent care to both the patient and their family. You will work together with multiple members of an interdisciplinary team who will assist you in providing the highest quality of care for your patients. Members of the interdisciplinary team include pharmacy, social work, care managers, physicians, physical therapist, and cardio/pulmonary rehabilitation. Staff on CVU 3 is very supportive and excels in teaching and mentoring new staff members. CVU 3 offers an environment of accountability, excellence, mutual respect, and trust.


The Certified Nurse Assistant practices within the scope of the State of Utah Certified Nurse Assistant Certification. The Certified Nurse Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or delegated by Licensed Practical Nurse in the clinical setting and performs basic patient care and related activities as delegated appropriately.


The Patient Care Assistant designates a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school who has completed their first clinical rotation.

Requires current Utah Certified Nurse Assistant Certification or completion of first clinical rotation through an accredited nursing school

Also requires a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification for the Health Care Provider.
Med/Surg or Cardiovascular experience preferred.

Experience as a telemetry tech is preferred.
This position is for the Accelerated Cardiovascular Care Unit at Intermountain Medical Center.

This is a Full-time variable shift position which requires rotating weekends. (Variable shift includes Day, Afternoon and Night shifts)
