Job: Core Measures Data Abstractor

Location: UT-Salt Lake City

The purpose of this position is to perform accurate and timely abstraction, auditing and monitoring from health information records for the National Hospital Quality Measures (NHQM - aka Core Measures). This position is responsible for NHQM abstraction at the rural facilities This position assists the facility with quality improvement activities related to the core measures.

At least two years of post high school education and 2 years in-patient hospital experience OR certification or certification-eligible as Record Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). RHIT or RHIA does not need 2 years in-patient experience.

Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred.



Demonstrated computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs.
