Job: Critical Care Tech/Emergency Medical Tech

Location: UT-Ogden
Facility: McKay-Dee Hospital Center
Under the general direction of the Emergency Department registered nurse, participates as a member of the patient care team. Implements the activities necessary to provide quality patient care in the Emergency Department in a cost effective manner. Cares for emergency patients in conjunction with the RN to provide accurate medical nursing care. Initiates and continues patient care including intervention, teaching, and documenting this process.

High school graduate or equivalent. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well under stress and respond positively to change. Current EMT licensure in the state of Utah. Current CPR-healthcare provider or CPR-professional rescuer certification required. Physical ability to assist with lifting and moving patients. Basic computer skills are preferred. Essential knowledge of charting and medical terminology preferred. IV certification preferred.
