Location: UT-Salt Lake City
Facility: Primary Children%27s Med Position purpose is to assist the dentist/dental resident in providing quality patient care, basic clinical organization, compliance with safe and accurate clinical protocol. Job essentials include Maintain availability, visibility and anticipates the needs of patients and providers, facilitation clinic flow. Schedules appointments, posts treatment and assists with patient care and discharge instructions. Completes check-in process to obtain correct and updated information, consent, and payment collection by following established procedures. Provides appropriate interaction and communication both verbally and in written format with patients, families, providers and other members of the dental team to gather, triage and document pertinent information. Maintains an accurate and current computerized data base of patient information using dental software with a specific knowledge of the program to ensure needed data is readily available. Ensures availability of resources, supplies and equipment. Maintains a neat, clean and safe environment supportive of appropriate patient care. Ensures that patient transactions are posted in a timely and accurate manner based on office standards using knowledge of CDT codes and ADA billings to ensure quick and complete reimbursement. Integrates legal and ethical standards into practice; complies with regulatory standards, practices within scope of Utah Dental Practice Act and Intermountain Health Care/Primary Children's Medical Center policies and procedures, and understands legal implications of care delivery. This position is Part-time working 24hour/week. Skills / Requirements
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to pediatric dentistry. Minimum Qualifications include: High school degree or equivalent Two years dental assistant experience in dental office or completion of a recognized dental assisting program Experience with dental software required Utah Dental Radiology Certificate within 3 months of hire BLS Certification required Important Notes
