Job: Food Service Associate II - Riverton Hospital - On Call

Provides a variety of duties that may include: preparing food; preparing and serving food for fine dining; appropriating patient food; delivering patient carts; washing dishes, pots and pans; preparing special patient formulations and nourishment; finishing baked goods; and performing housekeeping functions.


Intermountain Healthcare's new Riverton Hospital is located at 3741 West 12600 South in the heart of the growing southwest Salt Lake Valley, serving the communities of South Jordan, Riverton, Herriman, and Bluffdale.

Set to open this November, Riverton Hospital will be a full-service community hospital dedicated to high quality patient care in a welcoming and healing environment.

Riverton Hospital sits on 63 acres and will include a four-story hospital operated by Intermountain Healthcare, a three-story outpatient facility for Primary Children's Medical Center and a four-story physician office building that will house an InstaCare, KidsCare, retail pharmacy along with pediatric and obstetric and gynecology physician offices.

PRN (on call) as needed position.

Position located at our new Riverton Hospital.

Must be able to work flexible and variable shifts.

Rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) required.

Holidays required.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required to obtain food handlers permit and keep it current.

Must have the ability to follow work instructions and procedures.

Previous food service experience helpful.

Cashiering experience preferred.

Other duties as assigned.
