Job: Health Unit Coordinator

Facility: American Fork Hospital

The Health Unit Coordinator position will be located in the Operating Rooms at American Fork Hospital. Duties include, but aren't limited to; Organizes work and supplies, clean work area, restocks clerical supplies, assembles and maintains patient charts, prepares paperwork for patients being admitted, inputs patient charges into the computer. Communication responsibilities include: greeting visitors to patient care unit, may direct visitors to patient rooms or other areas to the hospital. Provides clerical support to the Patient Care Team by answering all incoming calls and placing requested phone calls.

To perform satisfactorily in this position required a high school certificate or equivalent. Must have a current CPR certification. Must have organizational skills. Medical Terminology is preferred. OR experience is preferred. More than 1 year of customer service experience in a medical service is highly preferred.
