Jobing Description
Location: UT-Salt Lake City
Facility: Primary Children%27s Med

Serves as customer service representative interacting with patients, physicians and staff. Responsible for the prioritization and scheduling of patients' examination and patients' instructions concerning preparation and timetable. Gathers all necessary demographic and clinical information from the patient or responsible party to ensure patient satisfaction and hospital reimbursement. Is accountable for maintaining accuracy and availability of all medical imaging files. Assembles and distributes medical imaging orders/files.

Skills / Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Basic computer keyboarding/data entry skills
2 years experience working in a customer service related field
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate orally and in writing
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, electronic mail and ability to learn and maintain job specific computer skills
Demonstrated effective degree of organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
Ability to work in a stressful and changing environment



Preferences

Working knowledge of medical terminology
Experience in medical environment and knowledge of diagnosis coding
