Job: Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Acute Rehab

Location: UT-St George
Facility: Dixie Regional Med Center

The LCSW works in an in-patient rehab setting and provides direct social work service and psychotherapy to patients and their families in relation to psycho-social and emotional problems. This includes assisting them with anxieties and stress precipitated by illness and hospitalization as well as helping them deal with social or practical environmental problems, concerns, and challenges. This position acts as an advocate for patients and families in assessing, planning, providing, referring, and coordinating services along the continuum of care in a cost effective manner.


**This position requires one weekend a month on call for Acute Rehab Unit admissions and on call rotation with all social workers at Dixie Regional Medical Center.**

Master of Social Work degree (MSW) is required along with LCSW licensure issued by the State of Utah. This individual must have completed social work education from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program with a clinical social work concentration of course work and practicum. Administrative experience in a health delivery system is desirable. The incumbent must be capable of a full range of verbal and written communication, and possess the ability to work in a professional manner consistent with the standards of the hospital, community and the profession. Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to conform to Intermountain Service Standards-- including maintaining a positive and cooperative rapport with fellow associates, patients and physicians.
