Facility: Medical Group Staff


Murray InstaCare is a free standing clinic that is open from 9am - 9pm, Monday through Sunday. It is located at 196 East Winchester Street (6400 South). Patients include infants, children, adults and seniors. We have X-ray facilities and use 7 different Ortho-glass splints in the care of our X-ray patients. We do minor surgical procedures such as Laceration closure and incision and drainage of abscesses. We perform 6 different lab tests on site and send blood to the central lab for other testing. We have an EKG machine and some emergency equipment (monitor/oxygen) for stabilizing patients. The Medical Assistant in this position will assist with all the above procedures except the taking of X-Rays and dispensing medications. Staffing includes an RN, X-ray tech, one/two physicians and one/two business staff along with this Medical Assistant position.


Medical assisting is for those who have been trained as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), who enjoy working with people, and who want to provide extraordinary patient care by supporting Intermountain Healthcare's approach to "Healing for Life." Working in a clinic setting requires performing a variety of patient care tasks including preparation of patients to be seen by physicians, performance of diagnostic tests and appropriate documentation.

Skills / Requirements

This position requires the successful completion of an accredited medical assisting program making candidate a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or MA Certification eligible.

A current "Health Care Provider" or "Professional Rescuer" CPR certification is required upon hire.

Excellent communication skills are required.

Emergency/EMT, Urgent Care, and Pediatric experience is preferred.

Must be flexible to work variable shifts including rotating weekends.

Experience with Centricity Business (IDX) and Help2 software preferred.

Prefer at least 1 year previous Medical Assistant experience.

Must enjoy working with, and have a good working relationship with children.

Experience with lab draws, I.V. starts, splinting and performing EKGs (not reading them) is also preferred.

This position offers 12 hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday every other weekend and smaller shifts during the week.
