Job: Nurse Practitioner - Intermountain Sleep Disorders Center

Facility: Intermountain Medical Center

This position is responsible for providing inpatient care through comprehensive assessment, evaluation, and recommendations for treatment in patients with Sleep Disorders.

In general, treatment modalities are directed at assisting the patient in obtaining their optimal state of wellness by preventing neuropsychological impairment as well as cardiovascular and endocrine morbidity.

The incumbent is accountable for initial patient consultation and evaluation, and for subsequent follow up during and after treatment course within a multi-disciplinary team setting for adults needing Sleep Medicine Services.

Effective clinical interpersonal skills and ability to problem solve. Ability to function independently, quickly and efficiently under stress of time constraints.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, employees, managers and patients.


Schedule is Monday-Friday; hours typically 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. No on-call or weekend work required.

Current Utah NP License with prescriptive practice or license eligible is required.

BLS CPR certification is required.

ACLS preferred.

At least one year NP hospital experience is highly preferred.

Experience with cardiac patients is preferred.

Prior exposure to Sleep Disorders and treatment of such disorders is desirable.
