Neonatal services are provided at several locations throughout Utah, offering exceptional careers in an amazing place:

Salt Lake City - Primary Children's Medical Center, a 252-bed progressive children's hospital, is the pediatric level one trauma center serving Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Montana and features a 43-bed Level III NICU. Additionally, in the Salt Lake Valley, Intermountain offers a 12-bed Special Care Nursery at LDS Hospital and a 48-bed high-risk Level III prenatal center at the new state-of-the-art facility that opened fall of 2007, Intermountain Medical Center.

St. George - Located in the fast growing city of St. George, Dixie Regional Medical Center is southern Utah's premier medical center and is rapidly becoming a regional referral center. The family centered, state-of-the-art Level III NICU offers the latest in technology and a collegial atmosphere.

Ogden - Serving the people of Ogden and its surrounding communities, McKay-Dee Hospital is known for its outstanding medical research, advanced technology and skilled staff. The hospital's 22-bed Level III NICU features neonatologoists, nurse practitioners, and a staff of specially trained RNs, respiratory therapists and CNAs.

Provo - Within this 39-bed Level III NICU at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, parents are an integral part of the healthcare team which also includes seven neonatologists, five neonatal practitioners, pediatricians, specially-trained nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers and care management.

Skills / Requirements

Requires: Bachelors of Science in Nursing, completion of an approved NNP program with a Masters of Science in Nursing and have current Utah licensure as an APRN or be license eligible in the state of Utah, and have the ability to be credentialed as an NNP by Intermountain Healthcare.
