Job: Nurse Practitioner /Physician Assistant- Intermountain Utah Heart Group

Facility: Medical Group Physicians


This position will augment the CV Clinical Program by providing clinical expertise to cardiovascular patients and their families. The practitioner will manage Cardiology patients including patients with structural cardiac disease, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, heart failure, stroke, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.


This practitioner will often serve as the provider, first seen by patients, and must adequately reflect the approach to care and philosophy of the team. This professional works in collaboration with the cardiologists, heart failure cardiologists, intensivists, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, residents, fellows, researchers and other advanced practice clinicians, nurses and staff.


Weekend requirements would involve assisting the physician in rounding on patients in the hospital and providing adequate care for those patients.

Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Current Licensure or License Eligibility in the State of Utah as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
Current Advanced Life Support Certifications required.
DEA Certification or Certificate eligible.
Experience in a cardiovascular setting is preferred.
