Intermountain Healthcare's new Riverton Hospital is located at 3741 West 12600 South in the heart of the growing southwest Salt Lake Valley, serving the communities of South Jordan, Riverton, Herriman, and Bluffdale.

Set to open this November, Riverton Hospital will be a full-service community hospital dedicated to high quality patient care in a welcoming and healing environment.

Riverton Hospital sits on 63 acres and will include a four-story hospital operated by Intermountain Healthcare, a three-story Primary Children's Medical Center outpatient facility and a four-story physician office building that will house an InstaCare, KidsCare, retail pharmacy and pediatric and obstetric and gynecology physician offices.

The Patient Care Assistant practices within the scope of the State of Utah Certified Nurse Assistant Certification. The Patient Care Assistant works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or delegated by Licensed Practical Nurse in the clinical setting and assist the patient care team in the performance of various tasks and procedures for the patient and/or patients requiring special skills or observation.


The Patient Care Assistant designates a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing school who has completed their first clinical rotation.

Skills / Requirements













Requires current Utah Certified Nurse Assistant Certification or completion of first clinical rotation through an accredited nursing school.

Requires current Cardiopulmonary Certification (CPR) for Health Care Provider.
Requires a minimum of 6 months CNA experience in a hospital.

Prefers a candidate with previous experience in Maternity or Labor and Delivery.


The candidate for this position will also assist the unit in a Health Unit Coordinator capacity, as needed.

The candidate for this position will also cross trained into the Health Unit Coordinator role.

The Health Unit Coordinator must demonstrate typing proficiency and have computer experience.
Medical Terminology required.


This is a Full time, variable shift position which requires rotating weekends.

(Variable shift includes Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts).
