Job: Patient Service Rep I - Medical Group - On Call

Location: UT-Ogden
Facility: Medical Group Staff
To provide quality service along with prompt and friendly check-in to all patients/customers through accurate scheduling and effective registration for billing. The incumbent follows protocols as it pertains to their particular clinic setting. A PSR who is perceived by the patient to be caring, courteous, professional, competent and able to communicate effectively can enhance the reputation of the clinic and its Physicians by creating a positive impression in the patient's mind. The success of this role depends on the representative having a thorough knowledge of the business office, insurance procedures and excellent public relations skills.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills both orally and in written form. 2 years-public contact or customer service experience. Proficiency in word processing, e-mail and basic computer skills. Basic accounting skills (knowledge of debit/credit accounting) preferred. 10-key by touch skills are preferred. Medical terminology preferred. Previous medical office experience preferred. IDX, AS400 and Clinical Workstation experience a plus.
