Job: Pediatric RN - Pediatric Clinical Consultant to EMSC - Part-time

Facility: Primary Children%27s Med

This position is responsible to provide pediatric expertise and leadership in the implementation; evaluation and revision of educational materials targeted to pre-hospital emergency care providers, instructors, statewide ED staff and EMSC coordinators. This position will work with the key stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate a Quality Improvement (QI) program for EMSC. Based on the QI data will develop or changes processes to improve pre-hospital care for children. Appropriately uses state equipment and observes all state policies for purchasing and reimbursements.

Hold a current Utah Registered Nurse License in good standing. Bachelor Degree in Nursing or closely related field. Demonstrated current pediatric clinical experience. Demonstrated teaching, leadership, communication and organizational ability. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with other members of the EMSC Team. Ability to write and communicate clearly in English.


Preferred Qualifications: Emergency Medical Service or Emergency department experience. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider. Advanced degree in a related field. Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals Instructor status must be obtained within six months of hire.
