Job: Physician Assistant - Orthopedics

Assist orthopedic surgeon in office practice and in the operating room. Take call when the surgeon is on call to assist with new patients and in the OR. Work with team members including physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, athletic trainers and coaches. This is a full-time position with some on-call shifts with orthopedic surgeon. Utah Valley Orthopedics works primarily with general orthopedics, total joints, sports medicine, trauma and spine. Work Monday through Friday in the office and/or in the operating room as a surgical assistant.

Completion of accredited Physician Assistant educational program, Current Utah PA license, Current National certification as a Physician's Assistant; 2-5 years experience in an Orthopedic Physician Practice is preferred. Current Utah controlled substance license II through V. DEA certificate II through V. Current BCLS Certification. Ability to work together with Intermountain Orthopedics and Sports Medicine teams. Knowledge and willingness to work with computers/electronic medical record. Employment contingent on successful credentialing through Intermountain's SelectHealth (health plans) and Medical Group.
