Location: UT-Murray
Facility: Intermountain Medical Center This position has the adaptability to provide a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to be a part of a valley wide floating registrar team serving LDS Hospital, AltaView Hospital,Intermountain Medical Center,our new Riverton Hospital and Primary Childrens Medical Center. This team works in various areas of registration such as ERs,lab, radiology, admitting ,call center and surgery check-in. Registrars help to provide quality registration experiences for patients and their families to ensure timely patient care and identify patient sponsorship information. Quality service to all patients/customers through prompt and friendly check-in processes, timely organization of files and records, accurate scheduling, and effective registration for billing. Will be responsible for registering patients for multiple service lines and be cross-trained to work in multiple registration sites. This on call position has a expectation that they will arrive to the facility within 30-40 minutes after receiving the call Skills / Requirements
All registration positions require a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency in keyboarding and basic computer skills required. Requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and follow work instructions and procedures. 1-2 years of experience in a customer service setting preferred. Previous experience in a hospital or physician office preferred. Ability to work effectively in time sensitive situations, multi-task oriented, with the ability to make prompt, responsible decisions. Must be dependable, responsible and conscientious with attention to detail Must type 30 wpm. Medical Terminology preferred. Many positions require the ability to interact with patients primarily via high volume phone contact. Hours: Part-time. Must be able to work daytime shifts,starting at 8am or earlier. Be apart of a valley wide on call team, to work in all Patient Access areas. Training for this position requires selected candidate to be available for 7 consecutive weekdays. Beginning the first week, Monday thru Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. Second week, Monday and Tuesday, 7:30am-4:30pm. Evening training schedule also available from 4:30pm-8:30pm, including all day Saturday, 7:30am-4:30pm. Some positions also require the ability to perform in visually graphic and emotionally difficult situations, i.e. Emergency Room Department. Important Notes
