Job: Reimbursement Specialist II

Location: UT-Murray
Facility: Riverton Hospital

To ensure the accuracy of Patient Account Service's (PAS) posting of all Medicare and Medicaid claims. This position screens all Medicare/Medicaid adjustments for accuracy and reconciles the Medicare/Medicaid general ledger accounts monthly. Prepares and maintains the Medicare/Medicaid Logs used to compute contractual allowances and ensure proper reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid.

This position will support the Riverton facility, but the work site will be at our Creek Plaza office in Murray.

High school diploma is required.

1 year in accounting, PAS OR 1 - 2 years clerical experience is required.

A basic understanding of debit and credit accounting is preferred.

A basic understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement is preferred

A basic knowledge of hospital posting procedures and the ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of spreadsheet and other computer software is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills is required.
