Job: Respiratory Equipment Tech - Primary Children%27s Medical Center - PRN

Location: UT-Salt Lake City
Facility: Primary Children%27s Med

This position is responsible in whole or in part for daily stocking of equipment and supplies. Also responsible for the processing of contaminated patient care equipment. Ensures that supplies and equipment necessary for patient care are ordered and stocked. Follows appropriate procedure for obtaining and returning or cleaning/disposing of equipment and supplies. Manages inventory and prevents running out of any supplies and equipment. Maintains equipment by demonstrating correct and safe techniques according to specific product information and policy and procedure manuals. Tracks and minimizes the use of rental equipment. Maintains a clean, neat and safe environment for patients and staff according to hospital and unit policies. Notifies the appropriate department of repair needs and potential hazards. Performs minor equipment repairs on low risk items.

Minimum qualifications include:



Ability to assemble complex mechanical devices



Excellent communication skills



High school diploma



Good organizational skills



PC computer skills



Excellent work record





Frequent lifting, bending and stooping

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on a frequent basis.

Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment on frequent basis.




Preferred qualifications include:

Some college credits in science related subjects
Previous experience with respiratory care equipment
